CREATE AND INSTALL CAREVIEW AT 350 HOSPITALS IN ORDER TO EDUCATE FAMILIES
ABOUT LONG-TERM CARE FACILTIES AND REDUCE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY.

After an analysis of hospital discharge planning needs, CareView, a multimedia information guide to Skilled
Nursing and Assisted Living Providers, was created in order to provide a more efficient discharge planning
system. With CareView's comprehensive database and complete listings, Case Managers, patients and family
members can preview many facilities with the click of a mouse. Narrated video "tours" and detailed descriptions
enable those involved to make informed decisions regarding a facility, based on their individual needs. CareView
helps hospitals locate and communicate discharge planning information with long-term care facilities, by
enabling case managers to search for the most appropriate long-term care facility that matches patient and family
criteria, and send discharge planning information in electronic form to eligible homes. Implementation at more
than 350 hospitals in the United States, and a database of more than 2,800 professional health care users,
creates significant opportunities for aggregate reductions in lengths of stay in the millions of dollars and
significant contributions to hospital employee and patient satisfaction.

HEALING WOUNDS

Initiated, designed, and published the first issue of “Wound
Healing Perspectives” for National Healing Corporation
www.nationalhealing.com in order to help the wound care
experts at National Healing Corporation’s centers better
apply the latest techniques and solutions to heal their
patients. The goal of the quarterly newsletter is to facilitate
the clinical information necessary so that physicians and
clinicians can get involved early in the treatment process to
speed each patient's healing by focusing on a specific type
of wound.  The newsletter was also used as an education
tool at a national physician symposium in 2003.
